How to All black
There are a few do's and dont's when it comes to wearing all black and as many of you know wearing all black is my favorite look. Maybe it's because I'm an old soul but I think black looks sophisticated and flattering on almost everyone so how can I go wrong, right? Wrong. To avoid getting stalked by associates every time you walk into a store and looking like a burglar in black leggings and a black shirt, I have a few tips that will ensure you're always looking stylish and classy in all black.
- Mix Fabrics. Think outside of black leggings; Play with black leather pants, black jeans or black cords for the winter.
- Add Texture. Knits and lose wovens, leather and satin, suede and black fur. You get the picture.
- Variety in shapes: With black it's important to create emphasis through shapes. Whether it's the structure of a skirt, a high neck crop top (like the one I'm wearing), or blazer, creating shape will make your look 10X more intentional.
- Play with Silhouettes: Nothing is more unattractive than a 1:1 ratio silhouette in all black. Focus on defining the waist line. Whether that is a high waisted skirt or black leggings with an oversized black cardigan.
Well that is all the advice on all black I've got for now! I hope these guidelines help you create your next all black everything look and inspire you to create a super classy, sexy look!
